Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Dibrugarh

Upon arrival at Dibrugarh airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Dibrugarh, known as the 'Tea City of India', welcomes you with its serene landscapes and tea gardens. Begin your exploration with a visit to Jokai Botanical Garden, a lush sanctuary showcasing a variety of flora. Next, proceed to Shrikshetra Dhaam, a prominent Hindu pilgrimage site, followed by the serene Lord Jagannath Temple. Experience the historical resonance at Koli Aai Thaan and pay homage at the graves of the Ahom Dynasty queens at Sarumechlow and Bormechow Maidam. Conclude the day with a visit to Dehing Satra ruins & the Buddhist Monastery at Namphake Village, offering insights into local culture and history. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay in Dibrugarh.

Day 2: Dibrugarh - Jeypore Rainforest - Dibrugarh (65kms one way)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on an excursion to the nearby Jeypore Rainforest, a haven of biodiversity teeming with various species of flora and fauna. Explore the verdant trails and witness the rich ecosystem, including rare bird species and exotic plants. Visit a Heritage Tea Garden and Tea Estate to witness the art of tea production firsthand. After breakfast, depart for Majuli, the world's largest river island, accessible via a ferry ride from Nimathi-Ghat across the majestic Brahmaputra River. Majuli is renowned for its unique cultural heritage and serene rural life. Upon reaching Kamalabari Ghat, check-in at your hotel and immerse yourself in the local village life of the Mishing tribe. Interact with the friendly locals, learn about their traditions, and taste local delicacies like tea or rice beer, known as 'apong'. Enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel, experiencing the warm hospitality of Majuli. Overnight stay at the hotel in Majuli.

Day 4: Majuli - Dibrugarh (155kms)

After breakfast, bid farewell to Majuli and return to Nimathi-Ghat by ferry. Drive back to Dibrugarh, soaking in the picturesque landscapes and riverine views along the way. Arrive in Dibrugarh and transfer to Dibrugarh airport for your onward journey, cherishing the memories of your Assamese adventure.
