Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Calicut

Arrival in Calicut and transfer to the hotel. Explore the historical Mananchira Square, a vibrant public space surrounded by heritage buildings. The square features a large artificial pond, landscaped gardens, and an open-air theatre. Visit the Pazhassi Raja Museum, showcasing artifacts related to the Pazhassi Raja dynasty and Kerala's cultural history. The museum also houses ancient coins, mural paintings, and megalithic relics. Day 2: Calicut - Wayanad (85kms)

After breakfast, drive to Wayanad, a serene hill station. Visit the picturesque Pookode Lake, nestled amidst lush greenery and offering boating facilities. The lake is also home to a variety of freshwater fish and blue lotuses. Explore the Soochipara Waterfalls, a three-tiered waterfall ideal for nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts. Discover the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and offering boating opportunities. Day 3: Wayanad

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Discover Edakkal Caves, known for their ancient rock engravings dating back to the Neolithic age. The caves are located at an altitude of 1,200 meters on Ambukuthi Mala and offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Explore the scenic Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a variety of flora and fauna. The fort was built by the Portuguese in 1505 and later captured by the Dutch and the British. Discover the serene Payyambalam Beach, a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying sunset views. The beach is known for its clean, golden sands and is a popular spot for picnics and swimming. Explore the Arakkal Museum, dedicated to the Arakkal family, the only Muslim royal family in Kerala. Visit the Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach, one of the longest drive-in beaches in Asia, perfect for a unique coastal experience. Day 5: Kannur - Calicut (100kms)

After breakfast, depart from Kannur and return to Calicut. Drop off at the airport or railway station for onward travel arrangements.
