Day 1: Arrive Aurangabad

Arrival at Aurangabad airport, where you will be greeted by our representative. Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Begin your city tour with a visit to the Aurangabad Caves, carved out of soft basalt rock during the 6th and 7th centuries. These caves are renowned for their intricate sculptures, especially of Buddha, Bodhisattvas, and scenes from Jataka tales, showcasing both Mahayana and Hinayana Buddhist influences. Explore Bibi Ka Maqbara, a mausoleum built in 1660 by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in memory of his wife, Dilras Banu Begum. Day 2: Aurangabad - Ajanja - Aurangabad (210kms round) (B)

After an early breakfast, depart for Ajanta Caves, located about 107 km from Aurangabad. Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site, consist of 30 rock-cut caves dating from the 2nd century BCE to the 6th century CE. Explore the caves known for their Buddhist religious art, including sculptures, paintings, and frescoes depicting the life of Buddha and stories from Buddhist scriptures. The caves are divided into Chaitya (prayer halls) and Vihara (monasteries). Marvel at Cave 1, famous for its exquisite sculptures and Cave 26, renowned for its impressive paintings showcasing the Jataka tales. Enjoy a scenic drive back to Aurangabad in the evening. Day 3: Aurangabad - Mumbai (B)
