Visit The Aaina Mahal Palace, built during the flamboyant rule of Lakhpatji in the 18th century. Despite being damaged in the 2001 earthquake, it has been restored, featuring glittering glasses, antique clocks, and exotic tile works. The compound outside the palace showcases beautiful carved doorways, elaborate window boxes, and balconies.
Explore Prag Mahal, an architectural wonder from the 19th century, adjacent to Aina Mahal. This grand palace features Gothic-style windows, Corinthian pillars, and the second tallest clock tower in India, offering panoramic views from the top. The palace, mostly made of red sandstone, includes a museum displaying the royal family's archives and personal items.
Visit Shri Swaminarayan Temple, initially built in 1822, the first of many Sampraday Swaminarayan temples. Located near Hamirsar Lake, this completely white marble structure is an architectural masterpiece and a stunning place to visit.
Explore Ramkund, a square stepwell about 56 ft on one side, with walls adorned with miniature idols depicting the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu and sculptures of Lord Rama, Devi Sita, Lord Lakshmana, and Lord Hanuman. The geometrical architecture of the stepwell is awe-inspiring, and the coolness inside offers a refreshing experience as you descend the steps.
After sightseeing, drop off at your hotel.
