Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai airport, our representative will welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After checking in, unwind and relax for the day. Day 2: Mumbai

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Gateway of India, an iconic archway built in 1924 to commemorate King George V and Queen Mary's visit to India. Take a ferry ride to Elephanta Caves, located on Elephanta Island, famous for its rock-cut temples dedicated to Hindu deities, including the impressive Trimurti sculpture. (Note: The caves are closed on Tuesdays.) Visit the Kailasa Temple, an architectural marvel with detailed carvings depicting various Hindu deities and mythology. If time permits, revisit Grishneshwar Temple and Daulatabad Fort. In the evening, transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Patna - Kushinagar (260km)

Check out and drive to Kushinagar, visiting Vaishali, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site with ancient ruins, including the Lion Pillar and relics of ancient monasteries. Explore Kesariya Stupa, the tallest stupa in the world, known for its historical significance and impressive structure. Continue your drive to Kushinagar and check in at your hotel. Day 10: Kushinagar - Lumbini (160km)

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Visit Kushinagar’s key sites, including the Mahaparinirvana Temple, which houses a reclining Buddha statue, and Ramabhar Stupa, a significant Buddhist monument. Drive to the India-Nepal border at Sonauli and transfer to a Nepali vehicle for the journey to Lumbini. Check in at your hotel in Lumbini and relax for the rest of the day. Day 11: Lumbini

Day 13: Shravasti - Varanasi (315km)
