Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Guwahati

Upon arrival at Guwahati, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy a breathtaking sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. This serene experience allows you to admire the picturesque views of the river and surrounding hills as the sun sets. The cruise often features traditional Assamese snacks, adding to the experience.

Day 2: Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park (200kms)

Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a city tour of Guwahati. Visit Kamakhya Temple, a revered pilgrimage site dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya, showcasing intricate architecture and spiritual significance. This temple is especially known for the Ambubachi Mela, attracting thousands of devotees. Explore Umananda Temple, situated on an island in the Brahmaputra, accessible by ferry. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, offers stunning views and a tranquil environment. Day 3: Kaziranga NP

After breakfast, drive to Nimathi Ghat and take a ferry across the Brahmaputra River to Kamalabari Ghat. From Kamalabari, proceed to Majuli, the world's largest river island and a vibrant center of Assamese culture. Majuli is known for its lush landscapes and rich biodiversity, home to many rare birds and aquatic life. Spend the day exploring the island's unique monasteries, including the Satras, where you can engage with local monks and learn about their traditions. Visit Auniati Satra, known for its traditional dance forms and cultural performances. Explore local artisans to discover traditional crafts, such as mask-making, and the cultural significance behind their creations.

Day 5: Majuli-Benreu (260kms)

Transfer back to Kamalabari Ghat for the ferry to Nimathi Ghat. From Nimathi, drive to Benreu, a picturesque village nestled in the mountains of Nagaland.
