Itinerary

Day 1: Hubli - Badami (105kms)

Upon arrival at Hubli airport, your driver will transfer you to Badami. Check in at your hotel and take time to refresh and relax. Explore the Badami Caves, a set of four rock-cut temples dating back to the 6th century, with intricate carvings of Hindu deities, Jain figures, and Buddhist motifs. Visit Badami Fort, located on a hill, offering stunning views and housing ancient temples and palaces from the 5th century. Climb the fort's watchtower for panoramic vistas of Badami and the surrounding landscape. Conclude with a visit to Agastya Lake, a picturesque water body encircled by red sandstone temples, offering a tranquil setting.

Day 2: Badami - Aihole - Pattadakal - Hampi (145 km)

After breakfast, drive to Aihole, renowned for its over 125 ancient Chalukyan temples and monuments. Explore the Durga Temple, notable for its intricate sculptures and unique architectural style. Visit the Lad Khan Temple, one of the oldest temples in Aihole, showcasing early Chalukyan architecture. See the Ravanaphadi Cave Temples with their distinctive rock-cut carvings and inscriptions. Visit the Trikuteshewara Temple, a 10th to 12th-century marvel featuring three Shivalingas carved from a single rock, known for its architectural elegance. Proceed to Lakkundi, a historical town with numerous ancient temples and step wells. Explore more than 50 temples and 101 step wells, reflecting the architectural brilliance and engineering skills of the Chalukyas, Seuna, Kalachuris, and Hoysalas. Conclude your tour with a transfer to Hubli airport for your onward flight, bringing your journey through Karnataka’s historical and architectural wonders to a close.
