Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kolkata

Upon arrival at Kolkata airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax and acclimate to the city.

Day 2: Kolkata

After breakfast, set out to explore the vibrant city of Kolkata. Begin with a visit to the Victoria Memorial, an imposing marble edifice surrounded by lush gardens, which now serves as a museum dedicated to the city's history and British colonial era. Continue to St. Paul's Cathedral, a striking example of neo-Gothic architecture and one of the most important churches in the city. Visit Kalighat Temple, an important Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Goddess Kali, renowned for its intricate rituals and sacred ambiance. Proceed to the Indian Museum, the largest and oldest museum in India, showcasing an extensive collection of art, antiques, and fossils spanning over 5,000 years of history. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along the Hooghly River to see the iconic Howrah Bridge illuminated at night, an engineering marvel and a symbol of Kolkata.

Day 3: Kolkata - Bhubaneswar (Flight) - Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bhubaneswar. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and then head to Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves. These ancient rock-cut caves, dating back to the 2nd century BCE, are notable for their Jain and Hindu temples carved into the hills. Admire the intricate carvings and sculptures depicting various deities and mythological scenes.

Day 4: Bhubaneswar - Puri (60kms) - Dhauli, Konark and Raghurajpur

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to Puri. On the way, visit Dhauli, the historic site of the Kalinga War where Emperor Ashoka embraced Buddhism. The area features ancient rock edicts and a serene Peace Pagoda. Continue to Konark to visit the Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its elaborate stone carvings and its design resembling a massive chariot drawn by horses. In the evening, visit Raghurajpur, a traditional artisan village famous for its Pattachitra paintings, an ancient art form depicting mythological themes on cloth.

Day 5: Puri - Chilika Lake (55kms one way)

After breakfast, drive to Chilika Lake, Asia's largest brackish water lagoon. The lake is a crucial habitat for migratory birds and home to the endangered Irrawaddy dolphins. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake, where you can spot dolphins and visit Nalabana Bird Sanctuary, which is a haven for birdwatchers with its diverse avian population. Return to Puri in the evening for a leisurely walk along the beach, soaking in the tranquil coastal environment.

Day 6: Puri - Bhubaneshwar/ Bangalore (flight)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangalore. Upon arrival in Bangalore, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the city's vibrant culture or relaxing.

Day 7: Bangalore - Mysore (150kms)

After breakfast, drive to Mysore, known for its opulent palaces and beautiful gardens. En route, visit the Srirangapatna Fort, the historic summer palace of Tipu Sultan, and the Ranganathaswamy Temple, renowned for its intricate carvings.
Upon arrival in Mysore, check in to your hotel and then visit Mysore Palace, renowned for its grand architecture and opulent interiors, and the Jaganmohan Palace, which houses a rich collection of artifacts.
Explore St. Philomena’s Church, a stunning example of neo-Gothic architecture, and the vibrant Devaraja Market, known for its spices, flowers, and local produce.

Day 8: Mysore - Shravanabelagola - Hassan (140kms)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to Hassan. En route, visit Shravanabelagola, a prominent Jain pilgrimage site known for its towering 58-feet statue of Lord Gomateshwara, a significant symbol of Jainism.
Continue to Hassan and check in to your hotel.

Day 9: Hassan - Hampi (330kms)

After breakfast, drive to Hampi, with stops at Belur and Halebidu along the way. In Belur, explore the Chennakesava Temple, celebrated for its detailed Hoysala architecture and exquisite carvings. In Halebidu, visit the Hoysaleswara Temple, known for its intricate sculptures and richly decorated exterior. Proceed to Hampi and check in to your hotel upon arrival in the evening.

Day 10: Hampi

After breakfast at the hotel, explore the ruins of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its ancient temples and monuments. Day 11: Hampi - Lakkundi - Gadag - Badami (150kms)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Anagudi village. Experience a coracle ride on the Tungabhadra River, providing a unique view of the landscape and its historical sites. Continue to Badami and check in to your hotel.

Day 12: Badami, Aihole & Pattadakkal

After breakfast, explore the Badami Caves, a series of four rock-cut temples carved into sandstone cliffs, showcasing a blend of Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist influences. Day 13: Badami - Goa (250kms)

Day 14: Goa

Visit Aguada Fort, an impressive fortification with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea, and the beaches of Calangute and Anjuna. Day 15: Goa

Day 16: Goa - Departure (Flight)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back home, concluding your memorable journey through East and South India with a final beachside relaxation in Goa.
