Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

On arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will meet our office executive for assistance.
You will be transferred to the hotel.
The rest of the time is free and easy to relax and acclimate.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the Pashupatinath Temple, situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. This revered temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, boasts a stunning tiered golden roof and intricately carved silver doors. It is renowned for its exquisite architecture and is the holiest Hindu shrine in Nepal. Witness the rituals and possibly the cremation ceremonies that take place along the river.
Proceed to Bodhnath Stupa, one of Nepal's largest stupas. This magnificent stupa is set in a Mandala pattern and surrounded by houses and monasteries where Buddhist monks reside. The stupa's base is adorned with a ring of 108 images of the Buddha and 147 insets containing prayer wheels. As you walk around the stupa, you will see pilgrims spinning the prayer wheels and chanting mantras.
In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city with its charming stone-paved lanes. Explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is home to a plethora of historic buildings and temples. Visit the Kumari Ghar, the residence of the Living Goddess Kumari, and see the intricately carved wooden balconies and windows. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex, with its courtyards and museums, showcases the history and culture of Nepal. The square also features many other temples such as Kasthamandap, Shiva-Parvati Temple, and Maju Deval.
Continue to Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, situated on a hill west of Kathmandu. This ancient stupa is famous for the all-seeing eyes of Buddha painted on its pinnacle, which symbolize wisdom and compassion. The stupa is surrounded by many shrines and temples, some dating back to the Licchavi period. From the top of the hill, enjoy a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 3: Kathmandu

Morning drive 14 km east to the ancient Bhaktapur town. Enter through the Royal Gate and explore the Durbar Square, which, despite the 1934 earthquake, still houses some of the finest examples of Newari architecture. Notable sites include:
The Lion Gate, guarded by two stone lions.
The statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, in a prayer pose on a column.
The Palace of 55 Windows, which boasts a stunning balcony with fifty-five intricately carved wooden windows.
The Bell of the Barking Dogs, rung to signal curfews or emergencies.
The Batsala Temple, known for its stone bell, which is believed to produce a death knell sound.
The towering Nyatapola Temple, a five-story pagoda and one of the tallest temples in Nepal.
The replica of Pashupatinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Visit the Changu Narayan Temple, located on a ridge near Bhaktapur. This temple, considered the oldest in the Kathmandu Valley, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It features exquisite stone carvings and statues, including the 5th-century statue of Vishnu Vikrantha, depicting him in his universal form.
In the afternoon, visit Patan city, also known as Lalitpur or the "City of Beauty." Patan is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, particularly its tradition of arts and crafts. Explore the Patan Durbar Square, which is home to numerous temples and the old royal palace. Key attractions include:
The stone-carved Krishna Temple, with its intricate carvings depicting scenes from the Mahabharata and Ramayana.
The Hiranyavarna Mahavihar (Golden Temple), a beautiful Buddhist monastery adorned with gilded metal plates and statues.
The Mahabouddha Temple, also known as the "Temple of a Thousand Buddhas," which is covered with thousands of terra-cotta tiles, each depicting a seated Buddha.
Wander through the narrow lanes and visit the quaint shops selling traditional crafts, including metalwork, woodwork, and jewelry.

Day 4: Kathmandu Departure

Transfer to Kathmandu airport in time for your outbound flight.
