Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive - Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you'll be warmly greeted by our representative who will assist you to your hotel. Take some time to settle in and rest after your journey. Later in the day, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Thamel, Kathmandu's bustling tourist hub known for its markets, shops, and diverse culinary scene. In the evening, join a welcome dinner where you'll meet your knowledgeable tour guide and fellow travelers, setting the stage for your upcoming adventures.

Day 2: Kathmandu - Dhulikhel (30km/ 1hrs approx)

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey to Bhaktapur, an ancient city renowned for its well-preserved Newari architecture and rich cultural heritage. Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adorned with palaces, temples, and intricately carved woodwork that reflect the city's royal past. Visit Nyatapola Temple, a five-story pagoda known for its artistic grandeur and symbolic significance in Newari culture. Continue to Dattatreya Temple, where the fusion of Hindu and Buddhist architectural styles creates a serene ambiance. Day 3: Dhulikhel - Kathmandu (30km/ 1hrs approx)

Rise early and depart for Namo Buddha Stupa, a sacred pilgrimage site perched atop a hill, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding countryside and distant Himalayan peaks. Explore the tranquil surroundings and learn about the legend of Prince Mahasattva's selfless act of feeding a starving tigress and her cubs, commemorated at the stupa. Return to Kathmandu, reflecting on the spiritual significance and natural beauty experienced during your visit.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Lumbini (Flight)

After breakfast, board a short flight to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site revered by Buddhists worldwide. Visit Maya Devi Temple, marking the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama, who later became Buddha. Explore the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka of India in 249 BCE, signifying Lumbini's historical importance. Stroll around the Sacred Pond, believed to be where Queen Maya Devi bathed before giving birth. Day 5: Lumbini

Enjoy a full day exploring the Lumbini Development Zone, home to numerous monasteries, temples, and sacred sites dedicated to Buddha's life and teachings. Visit the awe-inspiring Mahabodhi Temple, a replica of the original in Bodh Gaya, India, where Buddha attained enlightenment. Day 6: Lumbini - Kathmandu (Flight)

Day 7: Kathmandu – Pharping – Kathmandu (20km/ 1hrs approx one way)

Embark on a spiritual journey in Kathmandu starting with a visit to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its imposing presence and serene ambiance. Engage in prayer and meditation at this sacred site, where devotees circumambulate the stupa's base, spinning prayer wheels and chanting mantras. Continue to Patan Durbar Square in Lalitpur, renowned for its exquisite Newari architecture, ancient palaces, and intricately carved temples dedicated to Hindu deities. Explore Krishna Mandir, an architectural marvel adorned with ornate carvings and intricate statues depicting Krishna's life and legends. Visit Patan Museum, housed in a restored palace, showcasing a collection of religious artifacts, traditional crafts, and historical manuscripts. After lunch, journey to Pharping, a tranquil village nestled in the Kathmandu Valley, known for its spiritual significance and sacred caves. Visit Yanglesho Cave, where Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) is believed to have meditated and attained enlightenment, leaving behind an aura of spiritual reverence. Day 8: Kathmandu - Departure

After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time for last-minute shopping or personal exploration in Kathmandu, reflecting on the profound experiences of your Buddhist pilgrimage. Later, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your enriching journey through Nepal's sacred sites and cultural heritage.
