Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi - Amritsar (Train No.12 29 SWARNA SHTBDI, 720/ 1345hr)

Transfer from your hotel in Delhi to New Delhi Railway Station to board the Swarna Shatabdi Express to Amritsar. Enjoy a comfortable train journey through the plains of Punjab, arriving in Amritsar by early afternoon. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and check-in. Take some time to freshen up and relax. Later in the afternoon, visit the Wagah Border, located about 30 kilometers from Amritsar, to witness the iconic lowering of the flags ceremony between India and Pakistan. Return to your hotel in Amritsar for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Amritsar - Dharamsala (210kms)

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), the holiest shrine in Sikhism, renowned for its stunning architecture, including its golden dome and marble inlay work. Experience the spiritual ambiance and observe devotees participating in the langar (community kitchen). Day 3: Dharamsala

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before beginning your exploration of Dharamsala. Visit the Namgyal Monastery, the personal monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama, where monks engage in prayers and rituals throughout the day. Explore the Dalai Lama Temple Complex within the Tsuglagkhang Complex, which houses the residence of the 14th Dalai Lama and important Tibetan Buddhist temples. Discover the Tibetan Museum, showcasing artifacts, photographs, and documents highlighting Tibet's history, culture, and the plight of Tibetan refugees. Visit the Bhagsunag Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and nearby Bhagsu Waterfall, a serene spot surrounded by lush greenery and revered for its natural beauty and spiritual significance. Optionally, embark on a short trek to Triund, a popular hiking trail offering panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range and the Kangra Valley (subject to weather conditions and fitness level). Day 4: Dharamsala - Delhi

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and take some time to relax before checking out. Depart for Delhi, a journey of approximately 10 hours by road, passing through scenic landscapes and small towns of northern India.
