Upon arrival at Paro airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Thimphu for check-in. Begin your exploration with a visit to the Memorial Chorten, a large stupa built in memory of Bhutan's third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Next, visit Tashichho Dzong, a grand fortress that houses the throne room and offices of the King, as well as various government ministries. After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Punakha, passing through the Dochula Pass at 3100 meters altitude. In the afternoon, hike up to Khamsum Yuley Namgyal Chorten, a stunning temple nestled amidst lush rice fields.
