Overview
Indore is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It’s known for the 7-story Rajwada Palace and the Lal Baag Palace, built in the 19th-century by the Holkar dynasty. The Holkar rulers are honored by a cluster of tombs and cenotaphs at Chhatri Baag. Indo-Gothic Gandhi Hall, clock tower and Jain temple Kanch Mandir are other popular places to visit in the city. Mandu, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar and Ujjain are popular day excursions from Indore.
