What you will do

Holy Land of Nashik: A Full-Day Sacred Tour from Mumbai

Pick up from your hotel in Mumbai for a full-day excursion to Nashik.

Begin your visit at Trimbakeshwar, a highly revered Hindu pilgrimage site known for housing one of the 12 jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located at the origin of the Godavari River on Brahmagiri Hill, this ancient temple complex is rich in history and mythology, with numerous caves associated with the Nath sect. The site is also famous for hosting the grand Kumbh Mela every twelve years, attracting millions of pilgrims.

Proceed to the Trirashmi Buddhist Caves, also known as Pandav Leni, which are a collection of 24 rock-cut caves carved from the 1st century BCE to the 6th century CE. These caves, nestled in the Trirashmi Hill, feature intricate Brahmi script inscriptions and offer a glimpse into early Buddhist rock architecture and monastic life.

Visit the Kalaram Temple, a significant Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Rama located in the Panchavati area of Nashik. The temple, built in 1780 by Sardar Rangrao Odhekar and Sawai Madhavrao Peshwa, is named after the black statue of Lord Rama housed within its sanctum. It also enshrines statues of goddess Sita and Lakshman, showcasing the architectural style and devotion of the time.

Explore Muktidham, a remarkable temple complex made entirely of pure marble from Makrana, Rajasthan. This unique temple features life-sized replicas of the twelve Jyotirlingas and intricately carved walls depicting all eighteen chapters of the Bhagavad Gita. It serves as a spiritual and architectural marvel, reflecting various important Hindu pilgrimage sites.
