What you will do

Bangalore Splendor: Gardens, Forts, and Palaces Exploration

Pick up from your hotel for Bangalore city tour.

Explore Lalbagh Botanical Garden, an expansive park originally commissioned by Hyder Ali and completed by Tipu Sultan. The garden features India's largest collection of tropical plants, a historic glass house that hosts annual flower shows, an aquarium, and a serene lake, making it a key attraction in Bangalore.

Visit Bangalore Fort, which began as a mud fort in 1537 under Kempe Gowda I. Hyder Ali later transformed it into a stone fort, enhancing it further during the late 18th century. The fort houses the well-preserved 16th-century Ganapathi Temple within its walls.

Discover The Bangalore Palace, constructed in 1887 by a Wodeyar king. This Tudor-style palace, inspired by Windsor Castle, features Gothic windows, battlements, and intricately carved wooden interiors, making it a striking example of colonial architecture in Bangalore.

See Tipu's Palace, a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture built during the reign of Tipu Sultan. Initially a summer residence, it was later used as a British administrative office before the relocation to Attara Kacheri in 1868.

Explore the Venkatappa Art Museum and Government Museum, established in 1865 with guidance from Surgeon Edward Balfour. It houses a rare collection of archaeological and geological artifacts, including ancient jewelry, sculptures, coins, and inscriptions, making it one of South India’s oldest museums.

Visit the Bull Temple in Basavanagudi, renowned for its massive Nandi (bull) statue carved from a single rock. Located within Bugle Rock Park, the temple is an important Hindu shrine and a prominent landmark in the area.

Admire the Vidhan Sabha, the seat of the Karnataka state legislature, constructed in 1956. The building showcases Mysore Neo-Dravidian architecture, incorporating elements of Indo-Saracenic and Dravidian styles, and stands as an imposing symbol of the state's governance.
