Explore the Jewish Synagogue, built in 1568, featuring exquisite hand-painted blue Chinese tiles and impressive Belgian chandeliers, a testament to the once-thriving Jewish community in Cochin. See St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, originally built in 1503, and the initial burial site of Vasco da Gama before his remains were moved to Portugal. Admire the Gothic-style Santa Cruz Basilica, a Roman Catholic basilica built by the Portuguese in 1505, known for its beautiful stained glass windows and elaborate frescoes. Witness the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, introduced by Chinese traders in the 14th century, still in use today and providing a unique photo opportunity at sunset.
